Taking a break from the internet

But I've really enjoyed doing this podcast.

I’m not giving up Thrift for good, but I need a break. Not just from the podcast and newsletter, but from the internet, from projects that aren’t going to lead me where I want to end up.

I want to write. I want to take my writing seriously. I’m going to be spending a lot of time writing by hand, filling lots of notebooks. The aim is to see if I have a book in me. I think there is, but I need to do a lot of shitty writing every day to find it.

That leaves me little time for projects like this, so I’m giving them up for now. Thank you all for reading and listening and being supportive. For those of you who supported me with $$$, I’ve canceled your subscriptions. You should be getting an email from Substack about it.

Well, that’s it from me. I’m off to write the great American novel…maybe.
